Fight Girls
I had my first photo shoot with children this weekend. It included two precious sisters with different looks and personalities, but both beautiful and fun to shoot. I was a little nervous about doing children, but also excited and up for the challenge. After study others photography I pretty much decided that the pictures I liked best were when the kids were just being kid and doing what they do best...playing and exploring. So that's what I let these girls do. I was pretty much their paparazzi on the playground and around the pond at Jacobson Park. The girls loved the ducks, and oh how I wished that I had brought bread! Overall, I had a great time playing, spending time with the Fight girls, learning, and creating memories.

Josh and I Killing Time
We had a little time before we did a shoot one day and we decided to play around with the camera. Josh is not a photographer's dream of a model due to the fact that he will not look at the camera, at least 99.999999% of the time. That is, with the exclusion of our wedding photos, whereby he was threatened with torture, death, and eye gouging by multiple women in his life if he did not behave. Needless to say, Josh will probably kill me for posting these pictures...but I'll risk it.

Hillary and Clinton's Wedding
This post was going to be later this week, but since I cannot sleep this afternoon I decided to go ahead and pick out and edit a few pictures and post. I hope I can stay awake tonight!!
This past Saturday I had the opportunity to shoot my second wedding. It was cold and windy, but we tried to make the best of an uncomfortable situation! It did warm up a little when the wind was not blowing and when the sun came out later in the day.
Hillary is a part time photographer as well so she had many great ideas for shot set ups. I particularly loved her idea of putting the rings on the shoes. I think it turned out pretty cool.
I love that Hillary picked sunflowers, they really brought out the Fall colors and they are such a friendly flower. It seemed to brighten the day a little more and made the tables look fantastic! Another thing to brighten the day, DESSERTS!! They had a wonderful spread of some tasty sweets! I love the before and after pictures of the dessert table.
The picture below was Hillary's idea, and a great one too!

Fall Beauty
I love fall. I love the crisp air, the changing colors of the leaves, and breaking out the sweaters. I love mums and cider and pumpkins and bonfires! So it would stand to reason that I would take a few pictures of this gorgeous time of year. Josh and I were walking out the door the other morning to go to church, as soon as Josh opened the door he turned to me and stated that it had frosted out. I ran for my camera to snap a few pictures while the getting was good! Here are a few of the shots that I took. I especially love the mums. Even though the frost pretty much killed them, these pictures make me less bitter...as well as the fact that they will return next fall!

Sarah and Eric
Meet Sarah and Eric. Sarah and I have worked together at the hospital for a year and a half. We are what keeps each other sane, in the insane environment. Sarah and Eric go all out for their Halloween costumes each year, and since I need to shoot people it just seemed right to do a photo shoot of my best friend and her husband looking fierce in their elvish garb.
Sarah is an elf queen and Eric is her dark elf body guard...ladies and gentlemen these costumes are intense! Eric's armor is make of real steel covered in leather. I would not mess with him if I were you!
I had a blast taking these amazing pictures, we all laughed almost the entire time. I laughed out loud sitting in a room by myself just editing them. I think the other photographers hanging out at Wavelend on Sunday were jealous of my outstanding subjects!
